 Lunar Khandro
An ambient, light & ethereal sound-scape
designed as a back drop for meditation,
yoga & relaxation exercises.
Luna Khandro was recorded at Highland Studios located in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
A lush, green mountainous terrain where I lived while recording my 1st CD.
It was a time of meeting many new friends.
Most if not all were spiritual devotees.
Yoga & meditation was a strong theme
in my life at that time.
Many of the people around me were yoga instructors including my then music partner
Jai who plays keys on Luna Khandro.
We were approached to create music suitable
for yoga, meditation & relaxation exercises.
The music of Luna Khandro became
the soundtrack for a yoga DVD, a meditation
CD and an instructional yoga CD for 3
separate artists.
The intention behind the music was to create
a very minimal, spacious & flowing sound.
I really enjoyed helping to create the music
of Luna Khandro as it was so incredibly
relaxing to sing.
By the end of each recording I felt very calm, peaceful & invigorated.
Luna Khandro has been sold in new-age
stores around the Sunshine Coast.
Luna Khandro is spanish for 'moon dancer'
which we equated to sky dancer. This title
seemed to suit the light openness of the music.
Luna Khandro is relaxing, atmospheric background music.
